Prime Meridian Bank opened its doors for business in Crawfordville last September, bringing a new level of banking service to Wakulla County.  (For directions and hours, please click here.)

Crawfordville Branch Groundbreaking Ceremony

Prime Meridian Bank's groundbreaking was attended by members of the Wakulla County Chamber of Commerce, several Bank officers, board members and team members (most of whom are Wakulla residents).

CRAWFORDVILLE, FL (August 4, 2015) – Prime Meridian Bank took the next step towards its expansion into Crawfordville today with a ground breaking on the Bank's Crawfordville Highway site. The event was attended by members of the Wakulla County Chamber of Commerce, several Bank officers, board members and team members (most of whom are Wakulla residents).

As the morning sun reflected on the ceremonial gold shovels, Prime Meridian Bank CEO and President, Sammie D. Dixon, expressed his thanks to the Wakulla community for the warm welcome the Bank is receiving.

"The branch will take shape in two phases," according to Wakulla Market President and banking veteran, Lew Moore. "Phase I will be the installation of a full-service, modular bank building, complete with drive-thru and SmartATM."

"We anticipate completion in early September," said Moore. "We are excited about bringing a superior level of banking service to Wakulla."

Susan Payne Turner, Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer, shares that excitement. "We anticipate completion of Phase II – a permanent branch building – in Fall 2016," she said. "We are bringing to Wakulla a locally-run, service-oriented bank that shows its commitment to community every day with every client."

Prime Meridian Bank Picnic More Like a Reunion

Future Home of new Crawfordville branch in Wakulla County.

CRAWFORDVILLE, FL (May 13, 2015) – In what seemed more like a family reunion than a bank event, Prime Meridian Bank introduced itself -- and many of its team members -- to the Crawfordville community last week. Balloons and green-and-white tents marked the spot where the bank will begin putting down roots this summer.

Over a dozen bank representatives – from tellers to the bank's CEO – served lunch to a gathering estimated at over 300. The smell of hamburgers and sausage dogs on the grill added to the relaxed atmosphere.

"It was truly a wonderful day visiting with friends and neighbors," said Prime Meridian Bank's Executive Vice President and Wakulla native Susan Payne Turner. "It is so exciting to bring our level of service to my hometown."

Turner is managing the planning for the new branch. The bank will begin work (in phases) at the site off Crawfordville Highway (next to Burger King) in the coming weeks. The first phase will be a temporary modular building. A permanent brick and mortar building will follow to complete the second phase, explained Turner.

Prime Meridian Bank is known for its high level of service and commitment to the communities they serve. "We received a great reception from everyone," said Lew Moore, Market President for the new branch. "I cannot wait for us to get open here. I'm really looking forward to being able to help our community again."

Prime Meridian Bank CEO and President Sammie D. Dixon was in attendance, along with team members and directors. "Our culture is based on service to people," said Dixon. "Serving our clients and community is who we are."

Dixon is no stranger to the Wakulla area. Growing up, he and his family spent many weekends and summers at Shell Point. "We continue to enjoy spending time in the area," he said. "This expansion is going to be a great move for everyone."
